Two Bay Area residents captured crowns at the March 4 finals of the inaugural Miss League City preliminary to Miss Texas USA and Miss Texas Teen USA. Hometown contestant Avery Doubenmier, 22, won the title of Miss League City USA and will make a host of appearances en route to the state finals July 14-16 in Houston. Last year's state winner, R'Bonney Gabriel, representing Friendswood, went on to win Miss USA and Miss Universe 2022. The Teen winner was Carys Moran of Friendswood, who also won Miss Teen Photogenic.
