Senior Devyn Lewis of Manvel has been named most valuable player on the all-District 18-5A volleyball team selected by the league's coaches. Seniors Cierra Pesak of Friendswood and Sunny Jo Higgins of Galveston Ball were named co-defensive players of the year while senior Lyric Jordan of Manvel was named offensive player of the year. Sophomore Kennedy Masie of Manvel was chosen setter of the year and freshman Nadiya Shelby of Friendswood was selected newcomer of the year. Senior Kaitlyn Gosch of Friendswood earned the blocker of the year award.
