With only the need to show proof of residency, Friendswood residents have a chance Saturday to clear their residences of anything from tree branches to that couch that has seen better days as well as browse at a city-wide garage sale. The city's annual Fall Haul returns from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centennial Park, 2200 S. Friendswood Drive. Residents can bring limbs, grass clippings, old appliances and furniture and unwanted wood, metal and plastic. Fall Haul will not accept such items as tires, paint, oil, batteries or any other hazardous waste, said Kimberly Ramirez, the city's event coordinator.
